Heart of winter, Intermission
Sun set, sun dawned. Days became longer, they became brighter and warmer. Nights shone with thousands of brilliant stars, all welcoming spring. Snow backed away and snowdrops poked their heads out. Dozens of flowers followed, blooming in the vast old garden of the Lair and on the meadows around the castle. River ran free, guiding glittery lumps of ice towards the great sea. Little springs sizzled as they broke free from their captivity.
The North came to life.
